About these terms
These terms apply to general use of The SAGE Stack website and early service inquiries. Paid engagements may also be governed by a proposal, statement of work, checkout terms, or other written agreement. If a more specific written agreement conflicts with these website terms, the more specific agreement controls for that engagement.
Informational website use
The SAGE Stack website provides general information about operations automation, workflow systems, AI implementation, systems audits, and service-business consulting. Website content is provided for general informational and inquiry purposes.
Reading the site, using an example, or following a general suggestion does not create a consulting relationship and is not a substitute for advice based on a business's actual systems, data, risks, and requirements.
Consulting and service inquiries
Sending an email, booking a fit call, or discussing a possible project does not require either party to proceed. A consulting relationship begins only when the parties approve the applicable written agreement.
Information shared during an early inquiry should be accurate enough to evaluate fit, but should not include passwords, access codes, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
No guaranteed outcomes
Unless a specific commitment is included in a separately signed written agreement, The SAGE Stack does not guarantee a particular business result, revenue increase, cost reduction, time savings, automation result, software performance, implementation timeline, or operational outcome.
Results can depend on client participation, existing systems, data quality, third-party tools, account permissions, staff adoption, changing requirements, and circumstances outside the project's control.
Estimates, pricing, proposals, and scope
Website descriptions, example timelines, general pricing, discovery conversations, and preliminary estimates are not a final project commitment. Final services, deliverables, schedule, fees, assumptions, exclusions, and responsibilities must be agreed in writing.
If project needs change, the parties may need to approve a revised scope, timeline, or fee before additional work begins.
Client responsibilities
A written client agreement may require the client to:
- Provide timely access to the correct accounts, systems, tools, documentation, and people.
- Confirm that it is authorized to provide access and data used for the work.
- Maintain appropriate backups, licenses, subscriptions, security controls, and account ownership.
- Review recommendations and deliverables, make decisions, provide approvals, and give timely feedback.
- Test changes where appropriate and identify business, legal, compliance, or technical requirements that apply to its operations.
Final responsibilities should be tailored to the actual project and written agreement.
Third-party tools and platforms
Projects may involve third-party software, AI services, cloud platforms, CRMs, email systems, scheduling tools, APIs, or other providers. Those providers may have their own terms, privacy practices, pricing, technical limits, account rules, service changes, and downtime.
The availability or behavior of a third-party service may change independently of The SAGE Stack. Any provider-specific responsibility, approval, or contingency should be defined in the applicable project agreement.
Intellectual property and deliverables
Ownership, license rights, permitted use, portfolio references, and any transfer of deliverables will be addressed in the applicable written agreement, proposal, statement of work, or checkout terms.
Payments, refunds, and cancellations
Payment timing, deposits, invoicing, taxes, cancellations, refunds, project pauses, termination rights, and treatment of completed or in-progress work will be addressed in the applicable written agreement, proposal, statement of work, or checkout terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, The SAGE Stack is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or reliance on general website information. Any liability for paid services should be addressed in the applicable written agreement.
